GahhHH! (a rant, and a cool link for medstudents-to-be)

It's been so boring and uninspiring lately.
Hmm..maybe I should get a part-time job?

But I did come across something interesting, check it out;

the site also has links to awesome quizzes. Mind boggling, though not to the extent as that of Inception.

Stable affairs [pardon the pun =)]

What I meant by stable (well, stables actually) is the place where domesticated horses are usually housed in.
So, if you thought otherwise, it's best to stop reading before you start to utter vulgarities at the pathetic-ness of this post.

Anyway, I witnessed Squaw and Magic (you probably wouldn't know them. And yes, they're horses) having an affair today (they were nuzzling). Not that they have that much of a choice, with stables next to each other.
Hmm.. pictures next week maybe?

I just realized how boring and pathetic I sound. Sigh.

A Bumpy Ride.

Ever experienced turbulence on a plane?

Don't get me wrong. I love flying, and would grab the window seat at any chance I got.

Anyway, we were 15000 feet in the air, which I found to be a thrilling experience, being able to see the entire landscape below (yea, we're below the clouds!). The flight path was through plenty of farming areas, with amazing views of untouched jungles, patterns of winding though dirty rivers. It was fascinating, I wish I brought my camera along. The stiff neck was worth it. I was surprised to find out I was almost right, when we flew past a horseshoe-shaped bend in the river and I found myself thinking, 'hey, that looks familiar guess we'll be landing soon'. I REALLY love window seats.

She(the plane) was a beauty, and had plenty of character. The periodic roar(no, it wasn't THAT loud. It was definitely much much louder). Though, admittedly, the rattling of her entire structure was ... slightly disconcerting. I thought the plane had to be about 30yrs of age. After a little research(yay google!; and wikipedia) I found out that I was likely to be correct.

Here's some info from wikipedia;
The de Havilland Canada DHC-7, popularly known as the Dash 7, is a turboprop-powered regional airliner with STOLcapabilities. It first flew in 1975 and remained in production until 1988 when the parent company, de Havilland Canada, was purchased by Boeing and was later sold to Bombardier. Bombardier sold the aircraft design (type certificate) to Viking Air in 2006.

Oh by the way, the model is dash 7 series 110.
All in all, it was a somewhat pleasant flight, and most definitely, a great experience.

Delayed

Why put off to tomorrow what you can do today?
Though I must admit I errr... delayed this post by a couple of days..

Anyway here's the story.
Kudos to api-api, I was late for a talk. I missed half of the talk(more actually).
All because of a 3 hour delay. (hmm.. that word again)

Being late didn't actually pose a problem (besides humiliating myself, who would possibly be more than an hour late for a 2 hour talk?!). It was the mental anxiety which arose, similar to the one experienced when facing rejections.
@.@ So tiring, sigh.

I need to post happier things. Oh well.
Tiffany should start a blog.

1000 :)

Finally, the count reaches 1000!(after a loooong loooooong time)
Thank you, thank you!

Going on a Yiruma Frenzy!

What better day to spend the holidays than with learning awesome new pieces! (Well, in between sleeping, eating, sleeping, watching movies, oh have I mentioned sleeping?)

Anyway, check this out. (If you haven't already. I mean, who hasn't heard Yiruma?!)

Utterly despicably adorable?

Yea, so perhaps I managed to catch a movie in between *cough* naps (currently in hibernation, you see).

Despicable Me in 3D

The 3D effects wasn't THAT great. Well yes, the images pop out of the screen, though not to the extent of coming close enough to create the effect of one being in the movie itself. Honestly, the glasses are a headache.

The movie itself though was... cute.
It's not everyday that we come across movies depicting a super villain as the main character(plenty of super heroes though), which also provides a somewhat refreshing change.

Anyway;

The super villain whom very cliché-ly became somewhat of a hero : Gru

His one/two eyed glow-stick(oh you'll find out, watch the movie) minions.

The orphan-ed girls(well, Gru adopted them)
From the left; Margo, Agnes and Edith.

Vector, Gru's arch nemesis(also a super villain. Nerdy AND irritating at that. Let's not forget his obsession for marine creatures as his pet and weapons.

Gru's scientist, who is... old.(Mind you, he invents impressive stuff!)

As for the plot, it is interesting enough, though the climax in itself (if there is one =.=") isn't.

It's entertaining though, and by all means, a worth to watch.
