5 POUNDS! T.T

Haven't posted anything in a while, and this isn't exactly a positive way to re-start, but...
I CAN'T BELIEVE I GOT LOCKED OUT...again
And this time, it's costing me 5quid
Doing the math, that's like, approximately RM25.
Depressingnya.
sigh sigh sigh sigh sigh
Autolock doors. At least bagilah spare key. Atau pertolongan percuma. Bukan macam kita ni delibarately lupa tentang kunci...kan?
Macam tulah... apa nak buat.

Post to come;
Edin; the weather, climbing Arthur's seat. (both of which are a month overdue)

Dancing! (not me)

So adorable. He's 'dancing' well, sorta to the rhythm of the squeaky fan. He's a bit distracted by the food at that time though. Will invert the video, eventually.

Pack away!

I'm no where near finished packing (yet) and I have about a week to go. Perhaps it's time to start panicking. Oh well.
To bring or not to bring, now that, is a question.
Now, I wonder if I can fit a table light in.
30kg 30kg 30kg. Sigh.

Tuesday, August 31, 2010

Needless to say, more needles!

Sigh, what a jab-eriffic day yesterday was. At least this time the two was on the same arm.

I had a great time with Junie at Gurney today. I finally bought 2 pairs of jeans, so that's another one of the checklist!
Watched the last airbender. Bleugh. Honestly, it's an insult to the animated series.
A week and a half left!

Wednesday, August 25, 2010

Tick tock.

Yea, the clock's ticking and I haven't even started to pack. I wonder where to get a winter coat, freezing to death doesn't sound like a very comfortable idea.

I wish Ashveer would hurry up and open his new blog.
It would be great if Vice Pres. Tiffy and Head of Info. Dep. Siput could set up their blog soon, they seem to have so many stories to tell, though largely limited by the little time we have to during our online GOSSIP (gossipy, obsessive, stalker society of inquisitive people) sessions.

Entries to come (eventually, maybe) :
1. Busy Busy (think visa applications, a lot of travel involved)
2. Things I'll miss T.T
Disclaimer: not actual titles for rant posts.

3 more days people.
AHHHHHHHHHHH----*dies in mid-yell*---!!!!!!
Kidding, partly anyway.

All the best everyone(classmates and those taking CAL)!

Jabs @.@

5 needles in 3 days (the 2 day was a break), isn't THAT painful, but all the same... @.@
It isn't very comfortable, having to sleep solely on one's back for the next few days.

Gah, it's really irritating(slow mostly), typing properly with all ten fingers. (In the process of learning, you see)

Not-so-happy Reminder: A week more to you know what.

A satisfyingly Salt-y experience

Pardon the lame title, I blame it entirely on the side-effects of 'boredom'.
It's not that I have nothing to do. The things I have to do just isn't all that exciting.

Just so you know, I not talking typing about sodium chloride.

Movie poster

Main character
Evelyn Salt~Angelina Jolie
Occupation: CIA agent

Evelyn Salt (?)
Occupation: Russian spy?

Are they really the good guys?
Is there an impostor among the agents?
>)))))

Gah, I'm too lazy to type more. So basically, it's a spy movie, and is a very worthwhile watch. (yes, the unexpectedly unexpected twist in plot or rather, something expected that unexpectedly did not happen)
Don't be fooled by the video advertisement. The movie's way way better. Guaranteed.

Honestly, I have no regrets watching the movie.

GahhHH! (a rant, and a cool link for medstudents-to-be)

It's been so boring and uninspiring lately.
Hmm..maybe I should get a part-time job?

But I did come across something interesting, check it out;

http://www.bbc.co.uk/science/humanbody/body/

the site also has links to awesome quizzes. Mind boggling, though not to the extent as that of Inception.

Stable affairs [pardon the pun =)]

What I meant by stable (well, stables actually) is the place where domesticated horses are usually housed in.
So, if you thought otherwise, it's best to stop reading before you start to utter vulgarities at the pathetic-ness of this post.

Anyway, I witnessed Squaw and Magic (you probably wouldn't know them. And yes, they're horses) having an affair today (they were nuzzling). Not that they have that much of a choice, with stables next to each other.
Hmm.. pictures next week maybe?

I just realized how boring and pathetic I sound. Sigh.

A Bumpy Ride.

Ever experienced turbulence on a plane?

Don't get me wrong. I love flying, and would grab the window seat at any chance I got.

Anyway, we were 15000 feet in the air, which I found to be a thrilling experience, being able to see the entire landscape below (yea, we're below the clouds!). The flight path was through plenty of farming areas, with amazing views of untouched jungles, patterns of winding though dirty rivers. It was fascinating, I wish I brought my camera along. The stiff neck was worth it. I was surprised to find out I was almost right, when we flew past a horseshoe-shaped bend in the river and I found myself thinking, 'hey, that looks familiar guess we'll be landing soon'. I REALLY love window seats.

She(the plane) was a beauty, and had plenty of character. The periodic roar(no, it wasn't THAT loud. It was definitely much much louder). Though, admittedly, the rattling of her entire structure was ... slightly disconcerting. I thought the plane had to be about 30yrs of age. After a little research(yay google!; and wikipedia) I found out that I was likely to be correct.

Here's some info from wikipedia;
The de Havilland Canada DHC-7, popularly known as the Dash 7, is a turboprop-powered regional airliner with STOLcapabilities. It first flew in 1975 and remained in production until 1988 when the parent company, de Havilland Canada, was purchased by Boeing and was later sold to Bombardier. Bombardier sold the aircraft design (type certificate) to Viking Air in 2006.

Oh by the way, the model is dash 7 series 110.
All in all, it was a somewhat pleasant flight, and most definitely, a great experience.

Delayed

Why put off to tomorrow what you can do today?
Though I must admit I errr... delayed this post by a couple of days..

Anyway here's the story.
Kudos to api-api, I was late for a talk. I missed half of the talk(more actually).
All because of a 3 hour delay. (hmm.. that word again)

Being late didn't actually pose a problem (besides humiliating myself, who would possibly be more than an hour late for a 2 hour talk?!). It was the mental anxiety which arose, similar to the one experienced when facing rejections.
@.@ So tiring, sigh.

I need to post happier things. Oh well.
Tiffany should start a blog.

1000 :)

Finally, the count reaches 1000!(after a loooong loooooong time)
Thank you, thank you!

Going on a Yiruma Frenzy!

What better day to spend the holidays than with learning awesome new pieces! (Well, in between sleeping, eating, sleeping, watching movies, oh have I mentioned sleeping?)

Anyway, check this out. (If you haven't already. I mean, who hasn't heard Yiruma?!)

Utterly despicably adorable?

Yea, so perhaps I managed to catch a movie in between *cough* naps (currently in hibernation, you see).

Despicable Me in 3D

The 3D effects wasn't THAT great. Well yes, the images pop out of the screen, though not to the extent of coming close enough to create the effect of one being in the movie itself. Honestly, the glasses are a headache.

The movie itself though was... cute.
It's not everyday that we come across movies depicting a super villain as the main character(plenty of super heroes though), which also provides a somewhat refreshing change.

Anyway;

The super villain whom very cliché-ly became somewhat of a hero : Gru

His one/two eyed glow-stick(oh you'll find out, watch the movie) minions.

The orphan-ed girls(well, Gru adopted them)
From the left; Margo, Agnes and Edith.

Vector, Gru's arch nemesis(also a super villain. Nerdy AND irritating at that. Let's not forget his obsession for marine creatures as his pet and weapons.

Gru's scientist, who is... old.(Mind you, he invents impressive stuff!)

As for the plot, it is interesting enough, though the climax in itself (if there is one =.=") isn't.

It's entertaining though, and by all means, a worth to watch.

Back!

Haven't posted anything in a while.....
Oh well.

It's nice to be back to the island of great food, beaches and dirty toilets(?)

Spent the day at the ER (I wasn't a patient ,mind you =.=). Learned a lot :)
Too bad I wasn't much help though.

On a whole, its been a pretty busy, but great week.

Regarding today...
AHHHHHH!!!!! (expletive/censored/whatnot)

Monday, May 24, 2010

The battle(and we're not even halfway through)

The mind versus exam tension.

You'll know that you've lost it (yes both the battle and your mind),

When you cant tell what's motivating from demotivating anymore.

It is COMING...

It's coming, it's almost here,
The dreaded day(at least, for some of us) yet there are those who find it mere, (?)
And then there are those who are glad it's here at last,
B'cos we want to get over it really fast.

Blegh, I'm not going to continue this, poetry just ain't my thing.

Anyway(z)...
All the best to those taking exams! Gambate people!

Started the day, by waking up at 12p.m.
So much for waking up earlier.

Sunday, April 11, 2010

*Yawns*

What better way to spend a couple of days than by hibernating?

Its really hot these days, the perfect weather for sleeping.

Received an email from our beloved chem teacher(has anyone else gotten one too?). Gulp, I'm history! hydrolysed!?

Wednesday, April 7, 2010

A relief?

The trial exams officially ended today! Weeee!
And then I read Michelle's blog. 5 weeks? NOOOOOO!!!!! (How could you do this to me!)

Anywayz, on a brighter note,
Can't wait for tomorrow's screaming session!

Tuesday, April 6, 2010

Another day, another rant.

BEFORE YOU PROCEED, I STRONGLY recommend AGAINST reading this.
YOU HAVE BEEN WARNED.

My prediction of my results for the A2 trials(based on post-examination discussions) in alphabetical order;

Biology-maybe I'll pass if I'm lucky.

Chemistry- The paper has provided enough energy in the form of frustration to allow me to overcome my lattice energy and disintegrate into the wasted C,H,O,N and whatnot atoms, molecules and ions that I constitute of.

Math- I didn't think mechanics was that bad. Then again, I DID NOT THINK (a.k.a had absolutely zero idea of what I was doing). Thinking about it, I'd rather not think about it. Ah well, what I don't know won't hurt me...for now. Not that it matters, careless mistakes are bound(definitely actually) to be present.

Physics- Can't even do the 1st question(and the next, AND the next, and...). Need I say more. T.T

Summary= CRAP or (expletive)

From this exams, I have concluded that :

1. I have negligible IQ compared to my classmates(and everyone else while I'm there) . Or you can liken it to an op-amp, infinite input impedance. Not zero output impedance though.
2. I have a 'hard disk drive' with a memory space as that of a single-celled bacterium. Oh wait, they don't have a nervous system(no brain) or neurones for that matter(duh, single-celled).
3. ARRGGHHH!!!*explodes*
4. Studying is not proportional to confidence during exams. Neither is not studying.
5. I've completely lost it. AHAHAHAHAHA * maniacal laughter*
6. I should stop partaking in post-exam discussions. NAH.

Well, I'm done, so you should be done wasting 3 minutes of your life reading this, that is, if you read it. Don't say I didn't warn you.

Okay, so maybe I exaggerated and it wasn't THAT bad(well, it is, actually), but since it FELT that BAD, mightaswellrantaboutit.
Aha, ahehe, aheheheheee...

Friday, March 19, 2010

Ahem.

A congratulations to Ashveer!

SOMEONE was emitting such a DEPRESSING aura today morning (guess who).
Sitting next to that person was like getting blasted by super 'depressing' radiation (equivalent to gamma rays, as in high penetration power. Disintegrates cells.)
Anyway, was immensely thankful for the change in mood after lunch.

Once again, congratulations ane! [see told you not to worry so much, lol :) ]

A silver lining.

Finally, the great weight has been lifted. It isn't over yet, though.
All the same, :)

Rejected, rejected, rejected.

Oh joy, the return of the curse of THAT day.
1 .The computer's webcam suddenly decided to stop working.
2. The internet connection was very very bad. Very.
3. My mobile phone's connection was nearly just as bad.
4. Someone decided call me halfway through. Perfect timing. :(
4. Blanked out as usual.

Habislah aku. Cocoklah title aku ini dengan ekspektasiku.
I sedang terfikir, apalah yang patutku buatni if situasi yang paling teruk like ternyata benar-benar berlaku. Optionasi:

1. Terjun from Burj Dubai. Wee, bukan saja exhilarating, kemungkinan besar juga ku ini akan meng-disintegrate kepada beribu-ribu cebisan tissue sebelum sampai ke bawah. Tak ada eviden suicide. KBDL. Ketawa berguling di lantai.

2. Tiba-tiba I tak ada mood nak type dah. Terlalu depressing rasanya.

Matilah aku.

(pls ignore rant-filled post)

ughhh

Went jogging today.
Discovered how pathetically out of shape I was.
Must start jogging on a regular basis.
Sigh.

Friday, February 5, 2010

Ahaha...

Chem test over yay!

Think I drank/ate too much sugary stuff today, feeling a little too hyper, even till now.

Was running all over the Taylor's(Anime club's treasure hunt. I seem to have developed a new anxiety; fear of the responsibility for missing members. Not that it matters since I was the only one who got 'lost'. Sigh, useless senior(yes me) *cough cough* I know, I know. Oh well, wouldn't last long anyway; got many other things to OCD about after all.)

Oh. Ran in the RAIN. Got WET.

Then went for taekwondo. 5 members came. Oh joy. T.T

Just remembered that our class got flooded today. So exciting. Should be made an attraction; come visit the Taylor's Waterfalls!

Just remembered how Tiffy, Kevin and Ashveer (ane!) were discussing about rain dances and rituals and floods and how it can be used to postpone the chem test. LOL.

Just realized how seemingly sarcastic my post sounds. Oh well.

Need help, chat box is dying.

SHOUTOUTS

To Geoffery: BUH-BYE Ichigo! Don't threaten the poor kangaroos and wallabies ya!

(haha hmmm... you'll never read this anyway. Should use the opportunity to... no no, musn't think bad thoughts. Just joking btw,yes no sarcasm here)

Just read something super-duper-hyper-ultra horrible on Renee's blog; 13 weeks to A2.
AHHHHHHH!!!

Of tea and Helium balloons. Caught.

TEA ADDICTION
Got caught red-handed today by Michelle and Nadhi buying tea at take-away. (stalking together??? *gasp*. lol.)

Ah well. Tea to me is like Subway to Nadhi.

So what if I love tea. Anti-oxidants(green tea) present, so that's a good thing right?

Maybe I'll be able to try every single one on the take-away menu before i leave Taylors :)

I bet Tiffy is snigger-ing evilly reading this.

HELIUM BALLOONS
Since Ashveer's to lazy to post this, I might as well.

Yesterday, Bio class started on an extremely entertaining note when Jeremy succeeded in inhaling the gas from the balloons he and gang(jin howe n karan) obtained from who knows where.

And of course, Helium being less dense than the usual air, you know what happens.
Anyway, some of the things said includes;
-"I love Bio"
-"Bio is Fun"
- and several responses to Ms. Lourds' comments

The Science behind the 'voice'.(p.s. not confident accuracy-wise)

Contrary to what most think, inhaling Helium does not significantly alter the pitch of your voice.

There may only be a SLIGHT change in pitch being that Helium is of lower density and 'fills' our vocal chords less than air. However, the frequency of vibration of our vocal chords are still the same.

Our voice is produced from the vibration of our vocal chords(influences PITCH) AND the vibrartion of the air in the vocal tract(influences TIMBRE).

Now, TIMBRE can be defined as the 'quality' of a sound. We use this in our everyday speech, too differentiate sounds like 'ooh' and 'ahh' when we speak(articulation, basically).

What less dense He does is INCREASE the speed of the sound we make. Since v=f x wavelength,
and we study physics, you know what happens to our RESONANT FREQUENCIES (yes, the one from the vibration of the He molecules which is caused by the vibration of your vocal chords).

So, this effects the RESONANCE greatly and thus the TIMBRE, a.k.a distortion of the frequency pattern of our voice(the sound we make is actually a pattern of several frequencies)

Tadaa, the 'Donald Duck' voice.

Though, I admittedly am puzzled whether as to the 'squeaky' voice is due to lower resonant f thus less power or otherwise. Do leave a comment if anyone does find out (thanks!).

P.s. Can't believe I'm doing this. Should be doing math hw or chem. T.T Sigh sigh.

Should you feel hardworking, you can check this out. Don't forget the link in the link. LOL.

and yes, reading it did give me a bit of a headache, but hey, I was curious. Hmm.. might kill me someday. Woof! Oops, I meant meow (moment of extreme lameness).

---------------------------------------------------------------------------
On a different note... (Get it?! Omigosh, bad pun. I'm getting lamer day by day)

Finally visited little Akiba last night. It was interesting.
Saw Kay's and Jun's 'perverted look.
Jun won Kay at arm wrestling.
Feeling like condemning a certain person but finally decided not to waste my time.
....
end of post.

Moving on... the TKD club! Need... more... members.......

AND....
on to the Anime club!
(i wish i had pictures)
anyway...
-there's awesome cosplay by Wee(lavi), Carmen(yuki), Geoffery(ichigo) and Jun(len).
-return of club president Daniel(Dan-yell)! Awesome speech, no one would have guessed it was impromptu.
-the bookmarks were...AWESOME !!!(feeling bad, should have stayed back to help)
-can't help but to comment on how awesome/fascinating wee's hair(wig) and contact lenses were. must... have...must resist...
-yea, nearly a hundred(rounded to the nearest hundred)new members.

Oh yeah!

Interview.

It's the curse of the interview day. Let me tell you why.

1. Forgot my passport-sized photo.
2. Couldn't turn back to get it.
3.Got stuck in BAD traffic jam.
4. Road got blocked.
5. Got lost because of that.
[anyhow, we (me and yun lin) managed to get there... BEFORE the office OPENS]
6. got 'slaughtered' during the interview.
7. ARGGHHH!!!
8. Missed 2 periods of class. X_X

So like that loh...

ielts results! (gasp)

Ahaha, pretty suprising actually, I thought I would be totally KO'd thanks to my horrible speaking.

Anyway, a summary would be as follows:

Ju- 8.0
Me-8.5
Kev-8.5
Ming Yan-8.0 (not bad, considering a 7 for speaking due to the word 'tumpang')

Moving on...

1.Phy test. AHHHHHH! (over today, luckily)

2.Ming Yan's going to LONDON on Mon. Wonder if he's going to carry out the air stewardess/steward seduction plan to get into business class free. lol.

3.The recently stated person is currently repeating type slow slow slow (a.k.a mocking me)being that he is after all, sitting next to me in the web. The specimen appears to not know what html is. lol.

4.Continuing observation:
- specimen(Ming Yan) does not know how to refresh page.
-appears to be lost staring into the screen. SLOW clicking rate and responses.
-'it' is currently downloading past years from the freeexampapers website, SLOWLY.
-asked it what it was doing. It appears to have a delayed reaction, taking approximately 3-4.5 seconds to show any form of response.
-6 minutes 21 seconds have passed since thr beggining of the observation and specimen is STILL on the same site. slowpoke.
-hope it doesn't miss the flight to London. It might after all, SLOWLY arrive at the airport. If it manages to board(slowly of course), I wonder if the pane it's on will fly slowly.
-9minutes 30seconds: it hasn't budged. Will continue obsevation for as long as possible but without log. Likely to be uneventful/static.

end of log

Of Interviews and KTM (warning: EXTREMELY depressing post)

FML.
1st time in my life I forgot how to speak English. Sounded like some idiot who only learned the language last month.
Dammit, why did I even bother preparing.

My brain: Commencing Shut Down, beep (plays jingle).
Me: NoooOOOOO!!!

Feeling suicidal now, pls ignore;

My life is horrible. The way I responded in the interview, I really don't deserve to live.
No exaggeration here.

Glad Ashveer's went well. Unlike mine.

If that wasn't bad enough, I had to attend another sardin-like armpit smelling session.
Why the (censored) can't they have more trains coming, like maybe every 10 minutes.
AND those trains are capable of going faster than the current speed. I TELL YOU, KTM vs.beca, beca wins hands down. P.s. for some of U who don't know beca=trishaw.
So why not improve their services?
Kerana Tak Mahu (get it???)

Horrible horrible day.
Should have known that the taxi-ride that made me carsick was some sort of premonition.
Once again, dammit.

Word of the Day!

Its been awhile. So here it goes!

OMINOUS

being or exhibiting an omen : portentous; especially : foreboding or foreshadowing evil : inauspicious

ominous, portentous, fateful mean having a menacing or threatening aspect. ominous implies having a menacing, alarming character foreshadowing evil or disaster <ominous rumblings from the volcano>. portentous suggests being frighteningly big or impressive but now seldom definitely connotes forewarning of calamity portentousstillness>. fateful suggests being of momentous or decisive importance fateful conference that led to war>.
Defination from www.merriam-webster.com

Waitaminute, where IS the sentence?
Ans:pls refer to previous post

p.s. I know what you are thinking
=.="
(it's from sleep deprivation. Teehee!)

And begins the new semester!

1st period; Chem. Immediate plunge into tutorials.

Hmm... wonder why I'm getting ominous feelings at the start of the year. Methinks perhaps it has to do with sleeping for only 3 & 1/2 hours last night. Ah well, sleep debt repaid with a good long (and i mean loooooonng) afternoon nap.

Moral of the story: Don't do your homework last minute or it will likely lead to sleep deprivation and in my case, madness/lunacy if prolonged.

Tee hee!
